One of our major projects is to develop financial advice software. The aim is to allow people who wouldn't normally seek, or couldn't afford, financial advice to better manage their finances by getting feedback from a computer-based system.
Under the guidance of their financial advisor, the system will also allow people who already take financial advice to see in-depth simulations of the consequences of various financial decisions; they can also see how to optimise the well-being that money can bring them over their lifetime.
We already have a working prototype, and the next stage is to put a simple version on the web to get feedback on the type and format of advice generated. Obviously, in its early stages it will be unverified, so its advice shouldn't be used to make unguided financial decisions.
A short presentation about the prototype is now available. Click here for a sneak preview.
