Decision Technology was commissioned by the EC to investigate sources of dissatisfaction in the retail investment market, and to see how policy could be used to help consumers improve their decision-making in this area. The results of the research can be read here.
Office of Fair Trading: Consumer Understanding of High-Cost Credit
The OFT asked us to investigate consumer decision-making in the £7.5 billion high-cost credit sector, and to explore the degree to which consumers with limited financial capability can be helped to make better borrowing choices. The final report can be read here.
Association of British Insurers: Helping Consumers Understand Investment Risk
The ABI wanted to evaluate the impact of different disclosure designs upon consumers' understanding of investment risk. We employed an experimental method to compare and evaluate the effectiveness of different disclosure documents, and identified the design that best enabled consumers to take appropriate investment decisions.
